I have had this idea rolling around in my head for sometime now... I'm still not 100% sure how to make this effective but I think it could be a very worthwhile endeavour!

The idea is a section dedicated to members sharing a list/pics of all the products they have for sale or trade.

It's different from the "Looking for" section and different to the lots section...

The idea could be similary set-out to the references thread ie "Ammon Wilkes T/S Thread"
In that thread I would write down a complete list of everything I am willing to trade or sell. They can even include a small list of things they are looking for (All preferably with pictures.) It will almost be a like this members little trade market, that they can update and modify over time.

The benefits?
So many of our members (me included) love to collect/share/test the many glorious products made around the world... Our main problem is locating other people who has these products. This way with a click of a button on a certain members thread you can see everything that he/she no longer needs and then make an offer for them! This will also ensure alot of the products people have getting dusty in boxes under their beds at home can get some action!!! It will also be a far easier way to see what people have and save time with PM's, emails and all round hassle chasing the products your looking for.

I would love to hear your ideas/criticism!

It could be called something like FFI Traders Market.

Well the looking for section is pretty ineffective and this is the reason why. People generally post the same old things like "BW 09, Prete, Absolute" and they will rarely have others contact them because, even if they have those items they have no idea what they are willing to part with for them.

The new thread would be a one up on this section as you can see eveything that the person has and also get an idea on what they are looking for.

Another bonus, is that alot of products people have lying around can be sitting in there threads that they otherwise may not have put on transactions due to lack of interest at any one period of time.

There are a few other immediate benefits I can think of too, such as having photos up of everything you have, being able to view peoples collections and far easier access to finding what you are looking for in the long run. Etc etc etc.... There are benefits for both the person looking and the person trying to trade.

So that was the looking for section. Now here are the benefits over the regular for sale/trade/lot sections.

- It can be updated constantly.
- When people re-visit your thread it could have changed and there would be more to view.
- It can almost do away with the endless requests for deck pictures, since you already have them uploaded and viewable in your section.
- You can have a thread with any of the products your looking to sell in it. So it will be more convenient over specific for sale/trade threads.
- You can view and deal with people you know are legit just be entering their thread.


They are some of the immediate benefits I can see. I think if our members get into it we could find it to be a real winner

I think that I kinda get the idea. Sounds good! we should try it.

I just recently got granted transactions, and truthfully when i got into looking at all of the topics, i was looking for this exactly.
Somewhere where people could post pictures of what they have to offer.

But there was not, and i was kinda bummed.

So of course i think this is a great idea, and should be put into use.

no, there shouldn't be sections.. it should be just a few sticky threads like, looking for, and maybe what alex said, but if your selling something, or have a legit offer just post in the regular section. imo.

hell yes id love to get rid of all thease decks im not using i have like twenty deck not in use

Transactions sucks right now and the looking for sections are 100% useless.

I'm gonna float this new section when I get a chance... Love it or hate it we will see how it goes and then amend things further <3
